Chryssy Luu

Chrystola "Chryssy" Luu was born in Atlanta, Georgia but much of her childhood was spent in Monroe, Louisiana where she began her dance training at the age of three years old. She has trained in various styles of dance including ballet, pointe, tap, modern, jazz, musical theater, and aerial dance. 

 

Chryssy continued her dance training through college, attaining a dance scholarship and attending New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida. She completed her degree at the University of Georgia, graduating Cum Laude and receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance. 

In 2017, Chryssy founded Just Dance It! LLC which is an afterschool dance program for students in grades K through 5th. In addition to overseeing and operating Just Dance It!, Chryssy dances professionally with Staibdance, a contemporary dance company based in the Atlanta area. She also works as a guest teacher and choreographer for various dance studios in the Atlanta area.

Some of the highlights of Chryssy’s dance career include winning Dancer of the Year in the AMTC national talent competition in Charleston, South Carolina and gaining recognition for her talents with the NAACP where she was afforded the opportunity to compete in Orlando, Florida in which she placed among the top 20 dancers in the nation. She has also had the privilege of training at the prestigious Alvin Ailey School in New York City and has been featured in several music videos and television shows throughout her career.
